Ellen Parro” The permanent exhibitions on the 2nd and 3rd floors are also open, where you can delve into the history, layers, distinctive features, and diversity of Estonian design.

Specially in line with this year’s Museum Night theme – “Night of Voices” – visitors can see and hear the innovative electronic organ Retakord in the 3rd-floor project area. The Retakord electronic organ was produced at the Punane RET radio factory over a ten-year period from 1965 to 1975. It was the first industrially produced polyphonic electronic organ in the Soviet Union and was considered innovative across the entire USSR. The organ had a total range of six octaves across two keyboards, and it featured frequency and amplitude vibrato sound effects as well as nine sound registers. A speaker and amplifier with a cohesive design were also created for the instrument, with a total of 7,727 units produced.
